Judith Carducci, Back to Back Workshops:

December 6th - 10th &  December 13th -17th

WE ARE GOING TO PUERTO RICO AGAIN. Judith Carducci will be doing two back to back workshops: December 6th -10th and December 13th-17th. We limit each workshop to 10 Artists in a group so that we get the most possible out of the experience. Judith will be teaching again all about color and content, what to leave in and what to take out. Last year we had such a fun time with painting from early morning til late evening that we decided we just have to go again. Yes, it did rain once or twice but that made for fantastic cloud formations which we had a great time painting. We painted at El Morro looking over the cemetery out to sea. We painted along some of the streets and over looking the great wall dropping down to the sea and the old portal gate of the historic town of San Juan. This view had the Governor's palace as a back drop. We painted in the gardens of the Inn, portraits and still lives and interior scenes. This location is a Plein Air painting at every turn. There are gardens galore and terraces and orchids climbing up the walls and Night Blooming Cereus to catch a glimpse of in the evening. There are fun restaurants and great shopping right down the street. And, Friday nights there are special gourmet dinners featuring a 4 star chef at the hotel. You are not obligated to eat at the hotel on Fridays but it is quite a special treat. Last year we had a strolling minstrel and went to a wonderful concert. There is always music going on at the gallery. This is one of the things it is known for. There is a great grand piano in the music room which has hosted many celebrated musicians and concerts.

We will start the week off with a cocktail reception from 7:00pm till 9:00pm the evening preceding the workshops.  The following morning we start painting directly after breakfast.  The non-painters among the group will also be leaving shortly after breakfast for one of several activities planned for the week.  There are historic forts, tropical courtyards, blue cobblestone streets, gardens and other beautiful scenes to paint, all within walking distance of the Hotel and the stunning views of the ocean are just outside.

The Gallery Inn features 22 uniquely decorated four-star rooms, each furnished with pressure relieving Tempur-Pedic Swedish design mattresses and pillows for your comfort.  The rooms are also gallery spaces, where you will find silk screens, watercolors, sculptures, and paintings all created by your hostesses, Teresa Spinner & Jan D'Esopo.  Every effort will be made to ensure that your stay will exceed your expectations including a tropical continental breakfast, provided everyday from 7:30AM-9:30AM.  All this for one low price.
